The Spirit of Never Giving Up

Image
"Bowled him!!!! And would you believe, it's Mohammed Siraj!" Said the commentator in a loud voice when Indian Cricket Team won the last test match of the legendary Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy between India and England. I was in my workplace watching the match on my device. I jumped out of my seat when Siraj took the last wicket and Indian Team won the match. I was very happy at that time. Whole social media flooded with blessings for team India and especially some few players like Rishabh Pant, Siraj, Chris Woakes, etc.  I saw a very unique thing of human psychology. When a human being once decides NOT TO GIVE UP, then no power on this earth is sufficient to stop him/her. Indian team when came England for this test series, it was criticised by many people and even though some cricket experts. Some said that team India has no chance to win this test series. They said this because we had three big players retired just before this series(Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Ravichandran...

Overcoming My FEAR

"Where were you my friend ? It's been a long we met", said my friend to me. Yes, I was not in his contact for over one year. After my father's Demise, I was traumatized. Of course, I was mentally broken and depressed. "Sorry my friend for not contacting you over a year", I said to him. He came at my home to meet me. " Is everything alright ?", he questioned me. "Yes, my friend, everything is good", I said. "You are the man of your words brother, you proved yourself that overcoming fear is possible" he said with a smile on his face. my younger brother was also present there at that time. He asked, " Overcoming fear ? Man of your words ? Can someone tell me what's this conversation is going about ?" My friend said, " Let your elder brother himself tell you the whole story, but before that can we please be seated and then move ahead?". "Yes Sure! Come inside " younger brother said. After we settled...

Father

After a very long time I was having a long chat with my best friend on phone. "Hey bro, where were you for this many days ?"he asked me . Me, with a little hesitation and full of sadness said , " My father passed away recently , so I am now at my village speaking with you. He was shocked and immediately his next questions arise " What ? I mean how? Please elaborate and tell me exactly  what happened. With a very sad mindset I narrated him :- On 6th April 2021, which was my birthday , me and my whole family (consisting of my younger brother aged 8 , my mother and my father) were much happy , especially my younger brother as he was getting a chance of eating a cake after so many days of lockdown. My father was not feeling well that day. Not only that day , this symptoms of illness like increase of body temperature, catching cold , coughing , etc. From last three days. On 6th April , he was sleeping all the day as all of the patients do . We all thought it was alright...

No Arguments

While playing cricket with my friends, the uncle who is our neighbor said us with a angry tone, " this is a Residential area and you can't make noise here while playing, it's not allowed in a residential area ." My friend got angry and started arguing with my neighbor . Somehow I managed him to stop arguing and said sorry to the uncle. I knew it very well that it was not my or any of my friends fault and so my friends too . So my friend got angry with me and left my society.  Few days went and he came to me and  said ," I know that leaving the game incomplete and going away vigorously I not a right thing but the way you stopped me and said sorry to the uncle is totally wrong." In reply to him I said," Just think of the situation again and this time think that I have not stopped you and also didn't say sorry to the uncle too. What would have happened , the argument would have been going on and on with not any conclusion and what both of us would get...

Chasing Our Dreams

I was about to go for watching the IPL match when my friend came and I too stood  with him to have a chat . I saw at his face and guessed that he is in some tension .I asked him," what's the matter bro"? He replied, "I am not having a clear idea about my dreams and ambitions , parents say go for higher studies , relatives say become a doctor or an engineer , friends say go for commerce and become a CA and lot's more . I am very confused and also not able to decide what should I do." In reply to that I said, " It's totally your decision to chose your passion or to do what people say. If you want my opinion I would suggest you few things like :-  1. First of all take a pen and paper and write down all those things you think you can do as your passion and on the other side of the page write down what people or your relatives say you should be. This may also take a month for you because you have no clear Idea of your dream or goal. 2. After writing all ...

WHAT SPORTS TAUGHT ME

By Hrishikesh Wadekar , Many people around me used to say," Why you recommend everyone to make sports a part of their life , sport is nothing than a waste of time just for enjoyment". I got surprised and felt a little bad after listening to this thoughts because I love sports very much . I added on my point , " Sports doesn't means a waste of time , it is as important as studies ." Then they asked me a Question ," If you think like that then please tell us some things that sports give us". I  thought for a while and replied ," Sports gave me many things. Sports taught me the importance of fitness , it taught me that if you have fitness then you can grab the top position in any fields , then let it be like studies , sports , etc. If you have fitness then you get help in studies as we have seen or some of us have even experienced that if we see a fit guy , he is always active and ready to do any work  but an unfit overweighed guy we see is always...
